Polypropylene acid, a water-soluble polymer, is used as an agent for sulphate, and in aqueous solution, the acrylate monomer is polymerized, colorless or yellowish liquid. It can form a stable compound with metal ions, calcium, magnesium, and calcium carbonate and calcium hydroxide have excellent decomposition. The molecular weight of this product used for water treatment is generally 5000, which can be mutually soluble, soluble in ethanol. It's weak acid, pka is 4.75. At 300 ºC, it is easy to decompose.

Application

• Used as scale inhibitor and dispersant in industrial water treatment. Compatibility is good. It can also be used for pre-treatment of drinking water.
