- Character: It's white monoclinic crystal or crystalline powder, odorless. It tastes bitter and salty. Relative density is 2.68. Melting point is 884ºC. It's soluble in water and glycerin, insoluble in ethanol. Aqueous solution is alkaline. When exposed to air,it'll easily absorb moisture and turn into aqueous Sodium Sulfate. Fine Sodium Sulfate Decahydrate with high purity is called glauber salt.
- Usage: It is mainly used to make water glass, glass, enamel, pulp, refrigeration mixture, detergent, desiccant, dye diluent, analytical chemical reagent,medicine,feed,etc.
- Packing: It is packed with polyethylene bag as inner layer, and a compound plastic woven bag as outer laver. The net weight of each bag is 25kg.
- Storage and Transport: It should be stored in a dry and ventilative warehouse, kept away from heat and moisture during transportation, unloaded with care so as to avoid damage. Furthermore, it must be stored separately from poisonous substances.

Application

3. Sodium sulfate is a component of synthetic detergent, it is a neutral salt, adding it can reduce the surface tension, increase the solubility of detergent.
4. It is the diluent of dyes and the auxiliary agent of dyeing and printing.
5. In the chemical industry, sodium sulfate is used as raw material for the manufacture of sodium sulfide, gypsum, sodium silicate and other chemical products.
6. Mirabilite is used as a purgative in medicine. Sodium sulfate is an antidote to barium and lead poisoning.
